I have always wanted to complete a vision board for the year. I had started several years ago, but I never finished them or used them. This year I thought of having a vision board that I could refer to and keep in areas I will see every day. I have put it on my iPad background and in my Notion Dashboard so it is something I see on a regular basis and can really refer back to it at any time.

When I was compiling the images and quotes for my vision board I started by thinking about what I wanted to focus on this year. The first thing I did was added my word for the year, reduce, to the center of my board. That is the word I want to focus on this year and be at the center of my thinking.

Next I decided on what activities I wanted to do more of this year. I want to exercise more, play more of my Switch games, spend less money, read to relax. I also included that I want to complete some courses my county offers teachers. Since I made my vision board I had gotten into the reading endorsement classes I had applied for, so that works into the same goal as course work.

Completing more writing projects is also at the top of my list for this year. I would like to have a children’s book drafted and in the editing process. Last year I discovered that keeping up with my journaling really helped my creative ideas and sense of self. By doing more things I enjoyed I was feeling more accomplished and calmer. I was doing some of my best work when I was consistently doing morning pages so that is also on my list to do more frequently.

I was very proud of myself for starting my YouTube channel and posting a couple videos. To be more productive on that front is also a priority and I have been working on my content calendar to help me plan out blog posts, videos, and instagram posts. So trying to be more deliberate with my posting and planning should help me be more successful.

Finally I put quotes that meant something to me. Whether they were about my goals or quotes to use as affirmations they are ideas and thoughts I want to have in mind throughout the year. Things to help me get through depressive episodes or just times I need a little pick me up because of a discouraging day.

I have heard such inspiring things from people who use vision boards and I really wanted to try it this year and see if I can motivate myself to stay on track with my goals and aspirations.
